Carved skeleton.
This ancient eskimo artifact made from fossilized Walrus tusk ivory was used as a handle for a fire starter tool with slots on the ends to hold obsidian stone cutting blades. The excellently carved skeleton has wonderful detail in a permanently resting position. This unique carving by Saddiq Gonzalez measures 4"H x 5/8" W 1/2" Deep mounted on a rosewood base.
