General information:
All knife blades fold into the handle and are slightly smaller than
the handle. Knife blades are made of either stainless or surgical
steel which stays sharp and doesn't rust. Bolsters, the protective
metal ends on the handles, are made of either solid nickel silver or
brass as the picture indicates. A few of the knife handles are solid
stainless steel with laminated bone or antique ivory for the
scrimshaw design. The bone is from shed antler or beef bone and the
ivory is from antique piano keys keeping the scrimshaw authentic
with no animals killed for it. Manufacturers of knife parts: Frost
Cutlery, Tennessee; Colonial Knife, Rhode Island; Victor-Inox,
Switzerland; Quality China or Pakistan import. Technically, when 50%
or more of the selling price is attributed to work done in the USA,
the item is considered made in the USA.
